Occupational hygiene is concerned with anticipating, recognising, evaluating and controlling health hazards arising from work. Occupational hygiene issues commonly arise in every conceivable workplace. Anchem Laboratories has been providing occupational hygiene services to our clients, large and small, for over 20 years.
The legal requirement to assess and control chemical and biological hazards is contained within the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) (as amended). Physical and ergonomic hazards would require assessment and control under the general duties of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and more specific regulations such as the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005. |
